I am broken-hearted about the senseless shooting in Orlando over the weekend. I am in mourning about the current state of our nation. In light of the recent tragedy, I find the quote below very timely. I get very angry when people tell me to forgive and forget. Always have. Some people and some actions are not worthy of my forgiveness. Lacking the capacity for forgiveness in certain situations does not make you a bad person. It is perfectly okay and normal. Let's not get hung up on forgiving. Instead let's focus on remembering and recovering.
Are you chasing your dreams? Fulfilling your life's mission? At long last I am! I feel like I am finally at peace with myself and my life. I am doing what I was meant to do all along while trying my best to make a positive difference in the world. The funny thing is, it all happened by accident. I am so grateful for the events that have transpired to lead me to realize my destiny. It hasn't been easy. I am still healing emotionally and physically. But I have never felt better, more complete than I do right now. I am blessed! I turned what could have been a devastating, stressful situation into the life I've always wanted and it is beyond rewarding. You can have the life you were meant to have too! Don't wait for something to happen by chance like I did-do something today, big or small, that will get you closer to reaching your goals. It may seem overwhelming but it will be so worth it, I promise!
This Memorial Day, remember to have courage and be kind. These two things often go hand in hand. It can take strength to be considerate to those that others are unkind to. Be a rebel with a warm heart, everyone deserves to be treated with compassion.
Sometimes (more often than not, it seems) life throws us a curveball. We can't control everything that happens to us. We can, however, control how we choose to react to what happens to us. We can create our own destiny. Don't let the bad things that have happened to you define you. Grab your life by the steering wheel and choose your path to greatness. Decide that you want to move on, leave the past behind and make it happen. Your journey towards happiness and success can begin today if you want it to!
I truly believe the only way to be successful in life is to empower others. How much better would the world be if we all focused on lifting each other up? We would be creating a network of support not only for others, but also for ourselves. Empowered people empower people! Try it-it's much more fun to be a positive, encouraging force than the alternative. It also looks better on you too! ;)
You are beautiful. Yes you. Take a moment right now to identify three things about yourself that are your best qualities. Bonus points if those qualities are unique! Don't limit yourself to physical attributes. Beauty is more than our physical appearance. Every time you pass by a mirror or see yourself in a photograph, say to yourself "I am beautiful because..." then add in one of your favorite qualities. Every time you start to have a negative thought about yourself, say to yourself "I am beautiful because...." Each day try to identify something new about yourself that you love. Society makes it too easy for us, especially women, to dislike and devalue ourselves. Let's reclaim our self worth and happiness! Today I will be saying to myself "I'm beautiful because I'm empathetic, I look like my mother and I crinkle my nose when I smile." What will your self talk be today? Please post in the comments!
While you are soaring with success and happiness, others may be looking up at you with envy and resentment. They cannot handle the fact that you are doing well so they try to bring you down to their level. They focus all of their energy and resources into trying to destroy you. Little do they know you are flying so high you are untouchable, invincible, bulletproof.
You may be feeling as if all hope is lost. As if things could not possibly get any worse. As if your entire world has been shattered. I get it. I've been there. Some days I'm still there. But the truth is I was lost and now I've finally found my way! I'm on the path to success, health and happiness. I am thankful for the bad things that have led me in the right direction at last. I am right where I need to be, doing what I was meant to be doing all along. And each bad thing that happens to me does not stall me, it only propels my drive and determination to keep moving forward. I do not dare turn around to look back. Why would I? The best is yet to come and I can't wait to see where life takes me. I'm on my way!
What are you going to do today to invest in your future? Do something, no matter how small, to take a step closer to making your dreams a reality. Any sacrifice you make today will pay off tomorrow. Do something. Repeat. Your future self will thank you!

You've got this. You are powerful and strong and beautiful. You can handle what life throws at you with grace and dignity. You will not wallow in self pity. You will grab life by the steering wheel and take control of your destiny. You will succeed! I believe in you.
Here it is. In my second post I'm revealing the ONLY thing you need in your beauty arsenal to look your best around the clock: a genuine smile. It doesn't matter how many anti-aging creams you slather on or forget to apply, whether you wear makeup or not or how many procedures you undergo if you are not genuinely happy and content as a person. Ugliness on the inside ALWAYS shows on the outside. Always. Hate and spite transcend the facade of expertly applied high-end makeup. Through life's ups and downs, always remember to treat people with compassion and respect. Choose happiness and an attitude of gratitude. Emanate love and peace. Rise above. Radiate beauty from within.
